Jointeffects was created in 2002. It was an experiment to see how we might use the internet to deepen connections amongst a group of friends and family by sharing our thoughts online and processing together whenever it felt right. Along the way, our circle has expanded to include people we don't know personally, but whose writing voices begin to sound familiar. Jointeffects has always been a friendly and respectful place, except the time Mary shot a rattlesnake and everyone on the blog went sideways.
